The Maxspect Gyre 300 Series uses two centrifugal fans with a centrally-located, submerged direct current (DC) motor coupled to these fans. Guarded water inlets allow the intake of water, which is pushed out of discharges on either side. The entire assembly is held in place by an external magnet, and a controller lets the aquarist decide on how much flow (either continuous or pulsed), as well as the reversed flow, is generated.

The new features of the Maxspect Gyre are as follows:

  • SINE WAVE motor technology allowing the 300 series to run at near silent levels.
  • Improved motor/magnet design and cable positioning.
  • New Flow Director attachment that enhances water flow direction allowing more precision within the aquarium. 
  • Easier to adjust flow cages.
  • Improved app with new custom wave mode.
  • Smaller footprint within the aquarium.
