Vitalis Anemone Pellets – 60g

Complete Food Specifically for Anemones

Vitalis Anemone Pellets are a soft, highly digestible and nutritionally balanced food developed specifically around the natural feeding mechanisms of carnivorous marine anemones.

Unlike general coral foods designed to disperse through the aquarium, these 4mm pellets are intended for direct feeding, allowing the anemone's tentacles to capture and ingest the food much as they would larger food particles in the natural reef environment.

Designed Around Natural Anemone Feeding

Carnivorous anemones are passive predators, using their stinging tentacles to capture suitable food that comes within reach.

Vitalis developed its Anemone Pellets to emulate the larger food particles or prey that would naturally be captured in this way.

The pellets are:

• Soft for easy digestion
• Slow sinking for easier capture
• 4mm in diameter
• Easy to break into smaller pieces
• Nutritionally balanced
• A complete food for anemones

Suitable for All Anemone Species

Vitalis formulates Anemone Pellets for all anemone species, including:

• Bubble Tip Anemones
• Carpet Anemones
• Maxi Mini Carpet Anemones
• Magnificent Anemones
• Long Tentacle Anemones
• Pink Tipped Anemones

The pellets can be fed whole to appropriately sized animals or broken into smaller portions for smaller anemones.

How to Feed

For the best feeding response, wait until the anemone's tentacles are fully extended and ready to capture food.

Drop a small number of pellets directly onto the open anemone. The pellets should be captured by the tentacles and moved towards the mouth for ingestion.

Adjust the quantity according to the size of the individual anemone rather than applying the same amount to every animal.

In deeper aquariums, a suitable feeding tube or target-feeding tool can make accurate placement much easier.

Take care not to overfeed, and remove uneaten or misdirected pellets where necessary.
