Which Frozen Fish Food Should I Choose?

With everything from tiny Rotifers to whole fish available, the easiest way to choose frozen food is to consider the size, natural diet and feeding behaviour of your fish.

Everyday Mixed Marine Feeding
Try Mysis, Brineshrimp, Marine Cuisine or Marine Quintet for versatile foods suited to a broad range of marine fish.

Tiny Fish & Tiny Mouths
Choose Rotifers, Brineshrimp Nauplii or small Copepods when ordinary frozen foods are simply too large.

Small Fish & Plankton Feeders
Explore Copepods, Red Plankton, Fish Eggs, Lobster Eggs and Calanus for smaller food particles and additional variety.

Herbivores & Grazers
Try First Bite Veggie Feast, with seaweed and Nori for fish that naturally graze.

Medium to Larger Fish
Mysis and Krill Pacifica provide more substantial meaty foods for bigger mouths and appetites.

Large Fish & Predators
Choose Krill Superba, Mussel, Cockle, Squid, Lance Fish or Whole Fish for larger, more substantial foods.

Premium Frozen Foods
Explore First Bite Calanus, Mysis RS and Reef Feast for premium alternatives to everyday frozen foods.

Why Feed Frozen Fish Food?

Frozen foods make it easy to offer fish a variety of different food types, sizes and textures. From tiny planktonic foods to crustaceans, shellfish and whole prey, our range allows you to select foods suited to the mouth size and feeding behaviour of your fish.

Rather than relying on one food alone, we recommend feeding a varied diet appropriate to the species you keep.

How Much Should I Feed?

Feed an amount your fish can readily consume without allowing significant uneaten food to accumulate. The correct amount will depend on the species, size and number of fish in your aquarium.

Should I Feed More Than One Frozen Food?

For most mixed marine aquariums, variety is a good approach.

Mysis could form part of your regular feeding routine, while Brineshrimp, Copepods, Krill, shellfish or mixed frozen foods provide additional variety. Choose several appropriate foods offering different sizes, ingredients and feeding experiences.

How Should Frozen Fish Food Be Stored?

Keep frozen food frozen until required and follow the storage instructions supplied with each product. Remove only the amount required and avoid thawing and refreezing the remaining food.

Feeding Frozen Food Regularly?
Our larger 250g, 500g and 1kg packs are ideal for bigger aquariums, multiple-fish systems and customers who quickly work through smaller packs.
