Which Liquid Fish Food Should I Choose?
Ready-to-feed liquid foods make it easy to add natural plankton and other suspended foods to your marine feeding routine. The best choice depends on what you keep and the type and size of food you're looking for.
Want Ready-to-Feed Copepods?
Choose Gamma Natural Copepods, combining whole Copepods approximately 0.5–1.8mm with Red Plankton (Calanus). A great choice for small marine fish including dragonets, pipefish and seahorses, as well as corals and other invertebrates.
Want Premium Calanus Plankton?
Choose NYOS Goldpods, containing approximately 2mm Arctic Calanus finmarchicus. Ideal when you want a convenient premium zooplankton food for marine fish and LPS corals.
Want Ready-to-Feed Mysis?
Choose NYOS Chromys, containing Mysis relicta approximately 0.2–20mm. It provides the familiar appeal of Mysis in an easy liquid suspension with no defrosting required.
Why Choose Liquid Fish Food?
The biggest advantage is convenience. Ready-to-feed suspended foods allow you to introduce plankton, Copepods or Mysis without preparing frozen food at every feeding.
They can also provide useful dietary variety alongside frozen, live and dry foods rather than having to replace them.
Liquid or Frozen Food?
You don't necessarily need to choose one or the other.
Frozen foods provide a huge choice of natural foods and prey sizes and are excellent for regular feeding.
Liquid suspended foods provide additional convenience and make foods such as Copepods, Calanus and Mysis quick and easy to offer.
Many aquariums can benefit from using both as part of a varied feeding routine.
How Much Should I Feed?
Follow the directions for the individual product and adjust feeding according to the species, number and size of livestock in your aquarium.
Avoid adding excessive food that remains uneaten.
