Banded Spiky Starfish are herbivorous and detritus feeders,They may also consume the small pest Asterina starfish.
Livestock arrives in and out of stock very regularly, depending upon availability of the item from the source. The more rare and expensive items are often difficult to hold in stock, and can take time to source, so we generally require a deposit to locate and purchase the extremely rare items
Banded Spiky Starfish are best maintained in well-aged aquariums having various live rock formations containing algae films/organic films and/or collections of detritus. They may also consume small invertebrate. Since they are basically herbivorous and detritus feeders, occasional feedings with algae pellets may prove beneficial. Occasional feedings of small pieces of fish or mussel flesh is also recommended. They may also consume the small pest Asterina starfish.
