Algae-Rich Grazing Food with Colour Support
Gamma Shot Marine Algae & Colour Boost 12mm combines the interactive NutraShot feeding format with a specially formulated mixture of green and red marine algae and natural colour enhancers.
Designed particularly for herbivorous marine fish and grazers, the soft 12mm food balls can be pressed directly onto aquarium glass or rockwork, allowing fish to naturally pick and graze.
Why Choose Algae & Colour Boost?
Choose this Shot when you want greater emphasis on marine algae, grazing and natural colouration.
It's particularly suited to:
• Herbivorous marine fish
• Tangs and other grazers
• Mixed marine aquariums
• Urchins and crabs
• Fish that naturally pick at food surfaces
• Adding algae-rich variety to the feeding routine
As each Shot breaks down, fine food particles can also disperse into the water for smaller tank inhabitants.
Green & Red Marine Algae
What separates Algae & Colour Boost from the other marine NutraShots is its specially formulated blend of green and red marine algae combined with natural colour enhancers.
The wider Gamma Shot recipe includes ingredients such as Mussel, Krill, Prawn, Fish, Kelp, Spirulina, Aloe Vera, Omega-3, Red and Green Nori, probiotic yeasts and Garlic.
This creates a very different proposition from simply feeding another conventional dry pellet.
Designed for Natural Grazing
Press a Shot onto the aquarium glass or suitable rockwork and allow your livestock to approach it and graze.
The food remains concentrated at a visible feeding point, encouraging fish to pick naturally while giving you an excellent close-up view of them feeding.
Shots can also be fed directly when preferred.
Which Gamma Shot Should I Choose?
Marine Complete – the general-purpose choice for everyday feeding in mixed marine aquariums.
Algae & Colour Boost – choose for herbivorous fish and grazers when you want greater marine algae content plus natural colour enhancers.
Copepod Complete – choose when you specifically want greater emphasis on Copepods, Red Plankton (Calanus) and crustaceans.
Keeping more than one variety also makes it easy to rotate foods and introduce additional dietary variety.
Carefully Manufactured
Gamma Shots are produced in the UK in small, controlled batches using TMC's own formulation.
The ingredients are pre-digested before being dried at low temperatures and cold extruded.
How to Feed
Shots are pre-mixed and ready to use.
Press a Shot onto aquarium glass or suitable rockwork to create a grazing point, or feed directly to aquarium inhabitants.
If required, TMC advises that the Shots can be lightly moistened with aquarium water or Gamma Liquid Feed to rehydrate them and improve adherence.
Feed an appropriate amount for your livestock and avoid leaving excessive uneaten food in the aquarium.
