Fauna Marin Carb L is a high-purity, steam-activated carbon specially developed for continuous chemical filtration in marine and reef aquariums.
Produced from lignin-based raw materials, this premium pelletised carbon effectively removes yellowing compounds, dissolved organics, phenols and certain coral-produced toxins, helping maintain excellent water clarity.
Its low phosphate content and controlled adsorption characteristics make it particularly suitable for sensitive SPS, LPS and mixed reef aquariums.

How Does Carb L Work?
Activated carbon contains a highly porous structure that attracts and holds dissolved organic compounds as aquarium water passes over its surface.
This helps remove substances responsible for yellowing, odours and reduced water clarity.
Unlike phosphate-specific removers, Carb L primarily targets dissolved organic pollutants rather than acting as a dedicated phosphate adsorber.
Recommended Dosage
Fauna Marin recommends:

Media reactor: 300g per 1,000 litres.

Maximum reactor flow: 200 litres per hour.

Preparation & Maintenance

Pour hot water over the carbon one day before installation.

Leave it soaking in water for 24 hours.
