The African Butterflyfish has dark pigmentation on the rear portion of its body and fins with a yellow caudal fin. They are usually found in shoals and most often in pairs. The African Butterflyfish is a hardy Butterflyfish species feeding on most aquarium foods, however it should not be kept with overly aggressive fish species.
