The Bandit Angel fish is found on coral and rocky reefs at depths down to 131m where they are found singly or in pairs. The Bandit Angel Fish feeds algae and meaty foods however a large part of its natural diet is made up of sponges. 

It is best to provided plenty of caves and hiding places in the aquarium for this species to hide in.
