The Crosshatch Trigger have a very interesting pattern to its colouration. The body of this Trigger is yellow in colour with many dark lines creating a crosshatch pattern. The face of this fish has very distinct blue lines running from the mouth to the back of the gill plate. The fins of the Crosshatch Trigger are a beautiful blue colour with yellow borders, and the tail is red.

They can vocalizes using a "grunting" sound. The Crosshatch Trigger are very friendly and make a great pet as well as a great conversation piece.

An aquarium with rocks and caves provides a good habitat for the Crosshatch Triggerfish, however, it will tend to rearrange the landscaping and rocks.

The Crosshatch Triggerfish needs a varied diet of meaty foods including; squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their ever growing teeth.
