The Leaf Scorpionfish body colour varies between red, yellow, brown, or blue.

An aquarium with live rock is suitable for this fish. It uses the live rock for hiding as well as for perching while looking for food. Tank mates should be passive fish including other Leaf Scorpionfish. It has venomous glands attached to the dorsal, anal, and pelvic spines.

When first introduced into the aquarium, live feeder shrimp should be used to entice this fish to eat. The Leaf Scorpionfish diet consists of live foods such as live feeder shrimp or chopped meaty foods.

The Leaf Scorpionfish is Reef Safe with caution as they will prey on any small fish or crustaceans that will fit inot its mouth, however they will not harm any corals.
