Fauna Marin Professional Sea Salt – Premium Reef Salt
Professional Quality for Demanding Reef Aquariums
Fauna Marin Professional Sea Salt is a premium synthetic marine salt developed for coral growers and reef keepers who demand consistent, balanced seawater chemistry.
Formulated using pharmaceutical-grade salts, it provides the essential major and trace elements found in natural seawater, making it an excellent choice for SPS, LPS and mixed reef aquariums.
Balanced Seawater Chemistry
Maintaining stable calcium, alkalinity and magnesium levels is particularly important in coral aquariums.
Professional Sea Salt is formulated to deliver balanced parameters without excessively elevated levels, making it suitable for regular water changes and modern reef supplementation systems.
Typical Water Parameters
When prepared to the manufacturer's recommended salinity:
-
Alkalinity: 8.0–8.5 dKH
-
Calcium: 410–440 mg/L
-
Magnesium: 1,250–1,340 mg/L
-
Potassium: 380–400 mg/L
-
Strontium: 7–9 mg/L
-
pH: 8.0–8.4
These values provide a balanced starting point for maintaining stable reef aquarium conditions.
Quality-Controlled Production
Fauna Marin uses high-purity ingredients and independent laboratory checks to monitor salt composition and consistency.
Individual production batches can also be checked against the manufacturer's published ICP analyses.
Manufactured in Germany, Professional Sea Salt is designed for compatibility with modern reef filtration and dosing systems.
How to Mix
-
Fill a clean mixing container with purified RO/DI water.
-
Add approximately 38.5–39.5g of salt per litre as a starting quantity.
-
Mix with a suitable circulation pump until fully dissolved.
-
Check salinity and adjust to your aquarium's requirements.
-
Match the replacement water's temperature and salinity before use.
Always measure the final salinity rather than relying on salt weight alone.
Fauna Marin recommends regular weekly water changes of approximately 5–10% of aquarium volume.
