Why Monitor TDS?

RO membranes gradually lose efficiency, while DI resin becomes exhausted as it removes dissolved ions.

Regular testing helps you identify changes in water quality and determine when filtration maintenance may be necessary.

For reef aquariums, aim for 0ppm measurable TDS after the final DI stage to minimise unwanted dissolved impurities entering your system.

Simple Water Testing

Immerse the measuring end in a clean water sample, allow the reading to stabilise and record the result. Rinse the probe after use and follow the manufacturer's care instructions.

Important: TDS measures electrical conductivity and cannot identify individual contaminants. A 0ppm reading does not guarantee the absence of every possible impurity.
