Practical Protection for Aquarium Drainage Openings
Keep larger debris out of your aquarium's drainage system with the Aqua Medic Round Grate, a simple but useful accessory for aquarium overflow and plumbing installations.
Designed to cover suitable drainage openings, these circular grates allow water to pass through while helping prevent larger pieces of detritus, loose material and other debris from entering the pipework.

Installation & Maintenance
Before ordering, check the dimensions and mounting arrangement of your existing drainage opening to ensure the selected grate is suitable.
Install the grate securely and ensure that it does not unduly restrict the required water flow.
As with all aquarium overflow components, inspect and clean the grate regularly to remove algae, debris and other obstructions.
Important: A protective grate does not eliminate the risk of blocked drains and should not replace appropriate emergency overflow protection.
Whether you're replacing a damaged fitting or building a new sump-fed aquarium, the Aqua Medic Round Grateprovides a practical solution for protecting suitable drainage openings.
