Our purified water is ideal for everyday aquarium maintenance, whether you're replacing evaporated water or preparing a fresh batch of saltwater.
Available in convenient 10L and 25L options for collection from our Barry store.
Why Use RO/DI Water?
Ordinary tap water can contain dissolved minerals and other substances that are undesirable in a marine aquarium.
Reverse osmosis and deionisation filtration are designed to reduce dissolved impurities, including substances such as nitrate, phosphate, silicate and metals, providing a cleaner foundation for your aquarium.
Using purified water helps you take greater control over the water entering your marine system.
Perfect for Aquarium Top-Ups
As aquarium water evaporates, the salt remains behind, gradually increasing salinity.
Replacing evaporated water with fresh RO/DI water helps maintain the correct aquarium water level without introducing additional salt.
Ideal for manual top-ups or filling an automatic top-up reservoir.
Make Your Own Saltwater
RO/DI water is also ideal for preparing fresh saltwater.
Simply combine it with your preferred marine aquarium salt, following the salt manufacturer's instructions, and mix until the required salinity is reached.
Ensure the newly prepared saltwater is properly mixed and suitable for your aquarium before use.
