Cyanobacteria can form unsightly red or purple mats across live rock, sand and other aquarium surfaces. Red Cyano Rx offers a convenient treatment option for controlling outbreaks.

Recommended Dosage
1 level supplied scoop per 37.9 litres of actual aquarium water volume.
How to Use

Siphon out as much cyanobacteria as possible.

Check that aquarium pH is above 8.0.

Turn off protein skimming, activated carbon filtration and ozone.

Dissolve the required dosage in a cup of aquarium water.

Add the solution to the aquarium, preferably in the morning.

After 24 hours, perform a 25% water change before restarting the skimmer, carbon and ozone.
If cyanobacteria remains after 48 hours, follow the manufacturer's instructions before repeating treatment.
Important Information
Maintain good aeration and monitor pH and alkalinity throughout treatment. The manufacturer warns that the product may not be suitable for aquariums containing sponges.
Protein skimmers may produce excessive foam when restarted.
Address underlying causes such as accumulated organic waste, poor circulation and nutrient imbalance to help prevent recurring outbreaks.
