A Full 1kg of Frozen Copepods
Gamma Copepods 1kg is the bulk choice for marine aquariums that use copepods regularly, providing a generous frozen slab with two different food sizes available.
Copepods are natural planktonic crustaceans eaten by many marine animals, making them an excellent addition to a varied feeding programme. With a full kilogram per pack, this format is particularly useful for larger systems, multiple fish and serious frozen-food users.
Choose Your Copepod Size
One of the biggest advantages of this range is being able to select a size appropriate to your livestock:
Small Copepods – 0.5–0.8mm
Choose the smaller grade when you need fine food particles for smaller mouths and plankton-feeding livestock.
Large Copepods – 1.3–1.8mm
Choose the larger grade for fish and other livestock able to take a more substantial copepod.
Rather than treating all copepods as the same food, this gives you much greater control over the particle size entering your aquarium.
Why Choose Gamma Copepods 1kg?
This bulk format is particularly useful for:
• Regular copepod feeding
• Marine and reef aquariums
• Plankton-feeding livestock
• Small and selective feeders
• Larger marine systems
• Aquariums containing multiple fish
• Customers wanting a serious bulk pack
• Choosing food size to suit livestock
Simple, Natural Food
TMC's current Large Copepods specification lists:
Cyclops sp. • Water
Copepods provide a very different food size and feeding experience from larger frozen foods such as Mysis and Krill, making them especially useful within a varied marine diet.
They can disperse throughout the water column, giving fish and other suitable livestock opportunities to pick at individual food particles.
Build a Varied Frozen Diet
Copepods work particularly well alongside other frozen foods.
Rotate them with Rotifers for finer feeding, Red Plankton for another planktonic option, Mysis for a meatier meal and Krill for larger fish and bigger appetites.
This provides different food sizes and types rather than relying on one frozen food alone.
Gamma Quality & Biosecurity
Gamma frozen foods are gamma irradiated. Tropical Marine Centre states that this eliminates the risk of introducing harmful parasites or bacteria through the frozen food.
Gamma foods are rapidly packed, sealed and frozen, and TMC states that Gamma is the only food used at its three UK fish-holding facilities.
Huge 1kg Bulk Slab
At 1kg, this is firmly aimed at customers who use significant quantities of frozen food.
Simply remove an appropriate portion and feed according to the size, number and requirements of your livestock. Only offer an amount that can be consumed without excessive food being left in the aquarium.
