Gamma Whole Cockle Frozen Flat Pack – 250g

Natural Whole Cockle for Hungry Fish

Gamma Whole Cockle provides a substantial natural shellfish food for marine fish and cichlids that enjoy larger, meatier meals.

Made from whole cockle and supplied in a generous 250g frozen flat pack, it's an excellent choice for larger carnivorous and omnivorous fish and for anyone wanting to introduce more natural shellfish into their frozen-food rotation.

Why Choose Gamma Whole Cockle?

Whole Cockle provides something quite different from the shrimp and plankton foods commonly fed in aquariums.

It's particularly useful for:

• Medium and larger marine fish
• Cichlids
• Carnivorous and omnivorous species
• Fish that readily accept shellfish
• Larger, hungry feeders
• Adding natural molluscs to the diet
• Increasing frozen-food variety
• Fishkeepers wanting a larger 250g pack

Its substantial texture makes it a useful alternative to Mysis, Brineshrimp and Krill while broadening the range of natural foods offered throughout the week.

Simple, Natural Ingredients

Tropical Marine Centre lists the ingredients as:

Mactra sp. • Water

With such a simple ingredient list, the appeal is straightforward – natural cockle supplied in a convenient frozen format.

Cockle provides a different food source and texture from crustacean-based foods such as Mysis and Krill, making it particularly useful when building a varied feeding programme.

Whole Cockle or Cockle in Shell?

Both provide natural cockle, but they serve slightly different purposes.

Choose Whole Cockle when you want convenient, substantial shellfish for regular feeding. Choose Cockle in Shell when you specifically want fish to pick, bite and work at food presented within the shell.

Keeping both available can provide additional variety in both food and feeding experience.

Gamma Irradiated for Added Biosecurity

Gamma frozen foods are gamma irradiated. Tropical Marine Centre states that this eliminates the risk of introducing harmful parasites or bacteria through the frozen food.

The food is rapidly packed, sealed and frozen, and TMC states that Gamma is the only food used at its three UK fish-holding facilities.

Larger 250g Flat Pack

The 250g flat pack is ideal for larger aquariums, bigger fish and customers who regularly feed substantial frozen foods.

Remove an appropriate portion and feed according to the size, number and appetite of your fish. Avoid overfeeding and remove significant uneaten pieces before they begin to deteriorate.
